| - Nice to see that Red 8 is still going strong, with ever changing dining options on the strip.
Came on Sunday night and was quoted 20 min wait for two, which held true, I killed time watching dancing fountains sputter to the Sinatra B side and Disney tunes outside.
I am a big fan of roast duck noodles, the soup version, and though it wasn't on the menu, they happily fulfilled my request without hesitation, even asked if I wanted duck deboned- yes, please!
For appetizer we got fried soft shell crab- pure indulgence, deep fried and calorie laden, with jalapeƱos and roasted garlic, delicious!
I also had jasmine tea, which was a very nice flavor, and dessert of lemon grass pannacota. I love pannacota and love lemon grass, and though I never, ever order dessert, I couldn't resist. I thought it was delicious, though could have done without topping of chopped mango and strawberry, that was kind of a sloppy afterthought.
Service was spotty, a bit slow and some people around us got impatient.
All in all, you can certainly get Chinese food for less than $100 for two (no alcohol), so it's a once in a while indulgence.
