The menu says that the lunch special is only available on weekdays, but apparently they have it on weekends too (: For $8.95, I got the Panang Curry for my entree, with soup, a spring roll and salad as starters.
The soup they give you isn't like the soup you usually get in other lunch specials. The portion is bigger than usual and it also has little tofu bits in it too. I was pretty full before my entree came! Sadly, I didn't really like the Panang curry. It was a little too creamy and thick, and this kinda masked the curry taste. My friend also got the curry fried rice. Taste-wise, it was just okay, but he was shocked by the excessive amount of oil left on his plate after he finished his meal..
That being said, I would probably still come back to Bangkok Balcony for a cheap, mediocre Thai fix. Just don't expect too much when you come here.
PS: the window seats are great for people-watching (and lighting for photos ;) )
