  • Do not buy through this dealer. To start off, they sold me the car without doing a smog test within 90 days of the sell (which is illegal), and I found out after spending an hour at the DMV to get plates, just to be denied them due to Empire Motors' negligence. I complained to them, and they told me to come in, and they'd do a smog test. I show up, and they give me the run around and tell me I have to come back another time. I mainly dealt with the owner's brother in law, the man with a Jersey accent. He told me countless lies, such as: they recently replaced my convertible top (which it's too worn to be new), he assured me my smog test was up to date and that I wouldn't have a problem registering my car, he also told me when I went back today to get the smog test that he originally told me to come back 5 days after I purchased the car, and they'd do a new smog test, which he never said at the sell. The DMV told me they shouldn't have let me take the car off the lot and recommended I file a complaint against the dealership, which I plan to. Empire Motors didn't even apologize for what they did, and gave me a big run around when I tried to get them to fix their negligent behavior. I'll never buy from them again, and I will make a point to actively tell everyone I know to never even stop by the dealership.
