| - I have never been here without waiting an absurd amount of time at the registers. You'd think with six registers there would be more cashiers, but there's always only ever one. Tonight in particular was just ridiculous. First off, I couldn't find an item in store that was on the Dollar General website. And I didn't bother asking after hearing an older gentleman in the next aisle ask an employee where an item was, and the employee replied with something along the lines of "I don't know" and "this isn't my department." Regardless if it's your department or not, you can take a few minutes out of your day to help look for an item for a paying customer. After that, there was already quite a line at the only open register because the manager Darnel, who needed to void a transaction, was m.i.a. for at least ten minutes. So while the line built up, the cashier continuously kept calling over the intercom for Darnel and leaving the register to go search for this nowhere-to-be-seen manager. So while we were without manager or cashier, three kids walked in yelling for their "dad," and after walking around the store, they simply walked out with a couple packs of TNT Pop-its. This store is obviously understaffed and should have employees that are actually willing to help customers. And it wouldn't hurt to have some sort of security for all the questionable characters that walk into this place.
