| - Once again customer service is king. Even though a place has good products at decent prices, if the staff there isn't good, I'm not coming back.
After picking up some stuff from 168 Market, we walked with our bag to Jones to pick up some lamb Sardelki sausages. When we walked in, bf asked the guy at the register if he wanted him to leave our bag with him (obviously lots of places don't like you bringing in bags bc they think you will steal something). The guy first shook his head meaning "no not necessary" and then when bf goes to take the bag back, he motioned yet again this time "yeah better leave it" all the time with a permascowl on his face. Bf tied up the bag and left it while we browsed.
Once we were ready, we went to pay and then I grabbed a bag on the counter. It was noticeably heavier than our bag so I asked if it was our bag. The woman who rang me up said yes that's yours. I doubt she even knew which bag was ours. I looked through the bag and it was meat, clearly not ours, and not in the 168 bag.
We asked the guy where our bag was and he was just like "Oh it's not there? Someone must have taken it." And that was it! No sorry, no let me get my manager, nothing. He went outside to see if anyone had it, but we had been in there 15 mins by now and this market is pretty busy. Anyone in there could have taken it.
Now the point is not the value of what was taken, but the attitude of this guy after the fact. After some more back and forth, it was clear he was not going to do anything about the situation so we left. As we walked out he shrugs his shoulders to the other employee, like "Oh well".
If you want Russian or Eastern European foods, go to Ron's instead. Their employees are way nicer there and they actually smile!
