I had no trouble getting a table here in the city of "brunch is a contact sport" when arriving early. if you want to eat brunch after 1200 you're going to be standing in line. PRO TIP: sit farther back in the dining room and try and face away from the street especially in winter(ie from sep to may, jk). The door opening will give you a chill and the queue of surly late risers staring at you can be annoying. L'ouvrier is very charming and the FoH staff are trying. The food tastes good. The coffee and tea are good. One day I'll have dinner here.
