Bookmans is a neat, orderly store that has a ton of books - most of them are in pretty good condition. It's a charming place where you could spend all day wandering through the aisles reading. It's quiet, the staff are friendly, and there's a lot to see.
Here's what I hate about Bookmans: I'll bring dozens of books and magazines in only to be told they want to buy only one or two items. Then they offer 50 cents in cash or a 75 cent store credit. No one gets rich selling to Bookmans.
The other problem I have is that they have a website, but their inventory isn't available to the public. Every time I ask if they have a book, they tell me to call every few days because it can't be looked up. What do they think this is - 1970?
