| - OK, so two sides of the coin here. After a lot of research and shopping around, we actually bought a car from Peoria Nissan last year. They gave us a fair deal on an Altima along with good financing, and the sales representative we worked with was pleasant and easy to deal with. It was a very positive experience overall, so now that we are in the market to replace a different car that we just lost in an accident, Peoria Nissan was the first place I checked.
BIG MISTAKE. The primary salesperson I worked with today was pleasant enough, but when I wanted to nail down a quote, she brought out the "numbers guy". I think his name was Nick- not sure. He was a big bald guy with some awesome tattoos.
In any case, when I told Nick I wasn't going to be buying today and was just getting prices for comparison purposes, he got very upset. And very pushy. He offered me what was in all honesty a decent price, but when I still told him I wasn't buying until I had a chance to visit other dealers for comparison purposes, he basically threw a temper tantrum and INCREASED (???) the price on the offer he just gave me.
I have never been quite so annoyed at a car dealership employee before (aren't they supposed to be pleasant?), and his attempts at bullying me were met with me leaving the dealership right then, never to return. He was a complete ass, and he is also the reason that we will definitely NOT be bringing our Altima we bought there back into the dealership for any kind of repair work. Highly disappointing.
