The lower rating has more to with price than with quality. It's rare that I spend $40 on a meal and walk away hungry which was the case with B&TB. I had what were essentially two appetizers--the calamari and the smoked lamb ribs. The calamari was OK but since they were lost in a sea of veggies, they lost their crispness and so were fairly bland. The ribs were tasty but the plate consisted of six little riblets (don't let the photos fool you--they're small. They're lamb, after all) and you get about two bites of meat per rib.
The Alt 90 ale was satisfying. I normally shy away from microbrew beers as they're almost all too hoppy for my taste (I prefer nice solid ales like Bass or Smithwicks) but this one claimed to be a German style and lived up to its name.
So for me, this place is one and done.
