  • As an avid lover and passionate enthusiast for bubble tea, my previous experience at Bubble Tease Bay and Dundas has left me completely appalled, and has left me with no other choice but to refrain from drinking bubble tea ever again, to prevent this traumatic event from occurring. I enter the store at 10:25pm and yes, they are still accepting orders. However, as my friends who were looking for a parking space entered precisely 2 minutes following, they were told to leave. I believe it is the store's fault for not having a sign with the hours opened outside, a "closed" sign or simply locking the door, leading to misconceptions between the multitude of customers who entered following the closing time. As soon as I entered the store, I instantly felt an unwelcoming vibe. I noticed this came from the male barista who was giving us nasty looks for no particular reason. There were about 5 people ahead of us in line for their drinks, and our group of friends had ordered 5 drinks as well. We were expecting to wait and were quite patient about it, until it reached the 30 minute mark. We had moved up the line and had heard the male barista constantly pushing people away from the store because it was closed. However, we were confused when we saw him welcoming a group of girls who entered later, and started preparing their drinks prior to ours! He continued giving our group dirty glances, complained that he was "tired" as the excuse for the wait, and blamed the lack of inventory on us! We were now at the front of the line, but our drinks STILL weren't being made. The previous orders kept on being repeated instead of ours, and the girls who were allowed in after the store was supposedly "closed" were having their drinks made before ours! Talk about unfair! We complained to both workers there and not surprisingly, the male barista glared at us and continued with the girls' drinks. When we FINALLY got our drinks, a good 45 minutes later, he said no apology to us, and continued flirting with the new girl friends he had made. Bless the female barista co worker who picked up all of his slack and made our drinks nearly through tears because she was under so much pressure and stressed. What company is so desperate to hire such rude employees to the extent where they do not know the basics of customer service?! Bubbles Tease has been my go-to store, but unfortunately, will no longer be. I am devastated to say I will be abstaining from bubble tea as a whole now, trying to abandon the viscous image of this male baristas face from my head.
