  • I've used Umbrella Movers 3 times since living in Vegas (once when we first arrived, and I hired them to unload the truck and help us move in to our first Vegas home; a second time, for both moving out of that first home, and in to our second; this most recent move in Dec 2016 for both moving out of the last house, and in to the one we're in now). On each occasion, the movers have been timely, thorough, professional, capable, efficient. Some notable things I want to make it a point to mention: - I've rented all the homes I've lived in over the years in Vegas, and that I've hired Umbrella to move me in to and out of. While moving around big furniture items and navigating narrow staircases, Umbrella's movers have always been extremely good about avoiding causing any damages to the house, not banging things against walls, not marking up floors, wrapping and covering things to avoid damage, etc - this is a big deal when it comes to getting deposits back and keeping properties in good condition. - The second time I moved, Umbrella even sent a 4th worker (though I'd only hired and was only charged for 3). They took it upon themselves to send an extra person to help the whole process go more quickly, but honored the quoted price. - Their workers WORK. They have usually had 1 guy handling the truck (stacking items/boxes or unloading it in the most efficient way), with the rest hauling stuff in and out of the house to and from the truck. At no point during all my moves did I ever see anyone sitting around and not pulling their weight. They all worked hard the entire time - this makes a big difference when you're paying by the hour. - They handle things I definitely don't enjoy doing myself - they would disassemble large furniture items (like my large desk/hutch/file cabinet assembly, bed frames and head boards, etc), keep all pieces/screws/fasteners organized, then reassemble everything once in the new house. - They communicate and make sure everything goes where it needs to. They put stuff in the rooms you want them to go in, and in to the exact spots you want the to go in. - Their quotes have always been accurate for me. With this most recent move, for instance, I called and spoke to their scheduler over the phone. She asked me questions like how many rooms we had, square footage, what large furniture items we had, how many movers we wanted, etc. She gave me an estimate of 5-7 hours (and that is from the point they arrived to move everything out of one house and in to the truck, go to the new house, and unload the whole truck and put everything back together in the right place). The guys finished at almost exactly the 5 hour mark - the low end of the quote. That made planning and budgeting so easy. - They offer discounts (like repeat customer and cash payment). Not only have I had good experiences with them, but several friends/coworkers have also. When my company has moved other employees to Vegas, we usually recommend Umbrella to them and no one has ever had a bad experience. We also had to move our entire office once - a 6000 sq ft facility full of tons of furniture, electronics, office equipment, desks, art work, high tech and delicate pieces - and we hired Umbrella for that and they did a great job. Moving can be quite the stressful and expensive experience - you're packing everything up, dealing with deposits and move-out repairs or having to buy new furniture and make new down payments, etc. With all that going on, it's been great being able to use Umbrella to take the stress out of that part of the experience, while at a good price. I highly recommend em!
