| - I would have hoped to have given this hotel a much better review based on past experiences, but that had been years ago. My husband and I booked a room for a stay-cation almost two months ago, after a whirlwind of travel and work (another reason why this rating is so extremely low) we ended up staying that same weekend. Upon arrival in the valets we asked for a bell man for all of our luggage, due to my be a extreme over packer. The bell man wouldn't get the bags out of the back seat, because he seemed in to big of hurry so I had to do it while my husband was trying to get him to stop long enough for him to take the other items.
We then proceed to check in, which seemed to go very well. The front desk lady was helpful and nice and informed us that she would notify the bell desk and send up the luggage cart. Great, a much better feeling then we just had, right?....
So off we go to our room and everything changes! We enter and right away I noticed the dust hanging from the fire sprinkler. Sign number one this wasn't going to be good. We walk in further and there are footprints still on the tile in the bathroom floor, mold in the shower, the sink is dirty, the room is so filthy the maids bosses should be fired for not holding their staff accountable and allowing this to be acceptable. We had traveled all day and were starving so we went eat before the restaurant closed and I debated what to do about our room. The following day, I called and was told nobody was available at this time so I could leave a message, which I did not, my mistake, maybe. I decided to email instead thing it would be more effective and even had pictures of all the defects of the room, that's how bad it was, something I have never had to do to an establishment. I waited until now when I just cleaned out those pictures from my phone after waiting two months for a response and nothing to post this scathing review.
I also want to note they had my room number, contact numbers, husbands number, address, not to mention my email and I did receive the automatic response that said someone will be contacting you in in a couple of days or something to that effect, then nothing!! It shows to me as a consumer a few things; that they don't care about the issues going on within their establishment; there is no one overseeing what is going on within each department. Example: Housekeeping-Manager should be following up to check the rooms to make sure each floor meets all standards. It's a checks and balances system. In order to maintain high standards in a hotel as large as this you have to have to have these systems in place. This hotel doesn't seem to care nor have this in any area and it shows in each department.
