We enjoyed our dinner. It was exceptional. Remember you are paying for exquisite dining, not big portions. (if that is your intent go to Claim Jumper :( )
I've seen several comments on the service. I would like to note something extraordinary happened. We were introduced to our server who was going to be right back when another one of her tables broke a glass of wine and she had to attend to them. Within a matter of minutes another server took over for her and we were not left waiting while the first waitress assisted the other patrons with resetting their table. Personally I see a lot of merit and selflessness in this which is indicative of an establishment that focuses on the needs of the customer. So whatever other negative comments there may be on service I'd like to counter that ours was a positive experience. Thank you Ashley, you were a great server.
The dining experience and quality were as expected for a high end establishment so we were not let down and very satisfied. We had the scallops, fillet, mac & cheese, Dungeness crab fried rice and (for fun) the crinkle cut fries. Everything was great but the crab fried rice was mildly spicier than expected and we wished there was more of a crab taste and an indication of crab pieces.
The ambiance was wonderful both inside and outside.
The bar - THIS is what a bar should look like. I want to go back just to sit and have a drink at the bar it was so classy.
Also, they are experimenting with fixed courses and wine pairing which are limited to a few number of people each night. The table we saw that opted for this dinner looked like they were having lots of fun and the manager and chef came out and engaged with the table often. I suggest you splurge for this at the extra cost and enjoy it yourself.
We will be back.
