  • What you are about to read is true. The name has been changed to protect the incompetent. After receiving a safety recall notice on my truck, my wife scheduled a service for Friday at Earnhardt Dodge. We chose this place because I refuse to give Superstition Dodge another penny. Anyway, the day before service we received a different safety recall. Planning ahead, unlike the idiots at Earnhardt's. we called and talked to "Teeanna" and asked if they had both parts so they could do them at the same time (makes sense, right?). We rescheduled for Tuesday. So far, all is normal. We drove out on Monday evening and dropped off the truck so that it would be there first thing on Tuesday morning. So far, as a consumer, I'm doing everything I can to make their lives easier, right? I put the key in the envelope, marked that I wanted the safety recalls done with the letters included then marked that I want an oil change in the handy box with a nice big black X - you can see where part of this is going, huh? Teeanna calls me at 2:30 PM on Tuesday and says they did the first safety recall but ran out of the part for the airbag. When we arrived, we asked how they could run out of a part that we SCHEDULED to have installed. Teeanna: "We don't hold parts. That's Dodge policy. If you go to Superstition, Tempe, Bill Luke, they all do it the same. It's on a first come, first served basis" Me: "Isn't a day early for a scheduled appointment first come?" Teeanna: "When we brought your truck back, we had already run out" Me: "So you don't know your inventory for a scheduled service?" Teeanna: "I can call you and let you know when we get more in and get you scheduled." My wife: "And what's to say that you still have any after we drag ourselves back in here?" Teeanna: "I can tell the parts manager to hold one for you" Me: "But you don't do that! That's DODGE POLICY, remember??? You aren't allowed to hold parts" So, the foolishness and incompetence continues, but I'll spare you the dialog. She asked me to sign the paper indicating I picked up my truck. When she didn't send me to the cashier I knew they didn't do the oil change. I asked her about it and Teeanna said "you didn't ask for one." I pointed out the black X filling the box next to the oil change on their key drop slip. Teeanna: "Oh, I didn't see that." I drove passed Superstition Dodge to go here. Next time I guess I'll drive by both dealerships to Tempe Dodge on my quest to find a competent service department. I have a suspicion that I'll end up back at Bill Luke where I bought it before I find someone who knows how to do their job. My truck is a 2005 and it's time to replace it soon. I love my Dodge, but now I have 2 places I won't give money to. Thanks for wasting my time, Teeanna.
