Tailgating is essential for NFL games almost everywhere. You get there at 8 am and start indulging in awful behavior which may result in you hating yourself for a bit. Sometimes you may not have a crew to go with that day and it's just you and your buddy, if you don't find a group to tag along with, you're stuck with a lame tailgate session. Not here in Pittsburgh, they got Rivetowne.
Located right near Heinz Field this is the place go to before a game if you're not tailgating. It's not like near it and then take a five minute Uber or a ten minute train ride, NO! It's right next door. And the place gets nuts before a game.
People are just drinking outside in the area. Having a good time. Partying. It's like a tailgate at the bar. I can imagine you'd want to bundle up in the colder months being right on the river, but it a blast this past summer before a preseason game. I can only imagine how crazy it gets during the regular season.
