I have to update my old review (in which I gave the Rio Carnival World Buffet 5 stars) because I recently visited the Rio buffet again and was rather disappointed. I'd been there 3 times before and each of those times I was absolutely thrilled with both the rich quality and the abounding quantity of food at the buffet.
However, this time I was rather disappointed. The best thing there was probably the prime rib this time. I mostly had some Asian soups. The sushi (especially the spicy tuna roll) tasted old, and so did the guacamole. It all tasted old and bland. They also did not have the korean bbq beef that I had enjoyed so much last time. The dessert was mediocre at best and it was largely a disappointment compared to my last experiences at the Rio. They just might have had an off day or maybe I had really big expectations due to my past experiences, but I just did not enjoy the food here as much. Though it was still tasty and there was still a lot of variety, I have to dock this place down to 4 stars for now. That may change in the future.
