| - 2.75 Stars. I've been to studios all over the world, and this Moksha location falls into the middle of the pack.
I wasn't too impressed by the vibe/feel of the studio. Walking in up a long staircase, only to be greeted by a sometimes crusty staff member, is not exactly the best way to enter a new studio. Moksha, you really, really need to put your best and brightest at the front desk, otherwise you're totally tanking it with new customers. Not to mention, this was consistently my least favorite thing about visiting the studio, and I visited more than 10 times.
The class selection is decent, but I didn't find the teachers to be anything special. An exception to that is Matthew for the restorative class. Wow, best restorative class I've ever taken! He really has a gift for the practice, and I highly recommend taking his class. I can't really recommend any other classes... Maybe Scotty Mac's vinyasa 2 class. He's a good teacher, but a bit too "yoga snob" for me.
Honestly, that's somewhat present at this location. A "yoga snob" vibe. Even though many of the teachers speak the language and say the right words, the vibration of their words don't lie, and that's what I picked up on. Perhaps there's a better location, or a better studio entirely, for you, if this doesn't sound appealing.
