  • I initially chose this hotel due to the fact that it doesn't have a casino, with the only other real contender being the Four Seasons. I thought the decor there looked dated so I ended up staying here. The hotel is isolated from the chaos of the strip and is significantly quieter and less crowded than other hotels/resorts, and in that regard it is a good choice. However, a few Vegas elements still sneak their way in, such as a tacky gold-colored Moet vending machine in the lobby. I had a standard room, which wasn't bad - decor was elegant, and though small for Vegas, it wasn't exactly cramped. Electronic controls are convenient though not the most intuitive implementation. The bathroom is pretty nice as well, with a large oval soaking tub, double vanities, and separate shower and toilet stalls. However, it suffers from a glaring design flaw - there's a large pane of glass that cannot be blocked or shielded in any way, allowing anyone else in the room to see directly into the bathroom. It's ok for solo travel, but if you have guests or are staying with friends there will be no privacy. The toiletries (Atelier Cologne) were ok but smaller than standard. Soft Frette bathrobes are provided; on the other hand, the towels were decidedly small and not nearly as nice. The rest of the room was also showing its age, with some slightly worn furniture and a burnt out light in the closet area that was never fixed. Housekeeping was subpar and gave the impression of cost-cutting. A small snack welcome amenity was provided at check-in, though never replenished - other hotels will often have a fresh fruit bowl or other nibbles refilled daily. Toiletries were also not replaced, which necessitated calling housekeeping for refills. I also noticed a couple of trash items on the bathroom floor one day, no doubt left behind after a rushed emptying of the trash bin. Turndown service was also inferior - the duvet was never actually pulled back, nor were slippers and mats laid down bedside. Pitifully tiny bottles of house-brand water (296 mL, to be exact) were provided, good for only a few sips. Service was adequate; cordial and polite, but lacking in genuineness and impersonal (especially as the hotel is so big). There is no executive club, but the lobby lounge is a nice place to relax and grab a drink. The design of the building also necessitates switching elevators to reach your room, which was inconvenient. However, unlike many other hotels, Uber dropoff and pickup can all be done right at the main entrance, and there was never any wait for a taxi. Dining options aren't as expansive as larger resorts, but MOzen Bistro serves up decent everyday fare, with Twist providing a higher-end experience. The hotel is clearly not quite at luxury levels, but thankfully the prices aren't either (starting at ~$350/night). Overall I thought my stay was fine, but everything seemed a bit half-hearted and just not as good as other MO locations or luxury hotels.
