| - A strikingly gorgeous bar with glass decanters, silvery color palette and a square white marble bar in the center, Vesper Bar is the first thing you'll see after passing the digital art columns in registration. It's quite the first impression.
Dare I say that I planned my Vegas trip BECAUSE of this bar? I've been lusting after their cocktail menu: it covers the Classics (gin martini, manhattans), a variation of those classics and other cocktails like mojitos, etc to cater to everyone's tastes. Master mixologist Andrew Pollard certainly created an ambitious menu that rivals top cocktail places in SF and NYC. Premium liquor, fresh squeezed juices, house bitters and nice quality stemware (very important!) I was tempted to order EVERYTHING, but I stuck to a cocktail the whole night: the Vesper.
Drinking a Vesper is like a one-two punch: it's easy to drink .... but hits you double time. (why do you think James Bond likes this stuff?!?) I've never met a drink so elegant on the palette (if by elegant, you mean, brash then yes!) and so fragrant with that Lillet Blanc in the background. The slice of citrus peel floating in my glass just makes me smile more. I'm so glad that this bar lives up to its namesake!
If it's going to be one of those epic nights that's filled with revelry and debauchery, I order a Vesper.
If I want to feel happy, I order a Vesper.
If I have to make important decisions, I order a Vesper.
So, it's been decided.
I'm going to be a Bond Girl in my next life.
