| - This was my first visit to this location. I was over due for an appointment, and was running out of contacts. The location that I love had no available appointments for the times that I was available, so I visited the Boulevard Mall location instead. I initially called and asked what department store they were located next to, and the not-so-welcoming tone answered and advised.
The initial staff member who does all the tests was great. He was thorough with the explanations of the tests and the machines. The doctor was sharp and knowledgeable. And double checked my vision results because they were different from the pair of glasses I had brought in. She went thru different contact lenses, and why they were different. So I do highly recommend seeing Dr. Frances Capulong.
However, the optical staff seemed like they didn't want to help. And when they did help, it wasn't very clear where they were getting the high prices they were quoting me. If you want me to spend close to $300 on a pair of single-vision lenses, you need to be prepared to explain why the price is that high. Also, she didn't seem that she had the understanding of what my insurance covered.
After I said no to getting new lenses, I went back to the front desk for my vision prescription. The front desk staff was not friendly towards the patients that were in the office, and they were not that friendly towards the calls they took on the phone. I understand we're living in 2k16, and that type of service is more common, but it wouldn't hurt to be a bit friendlier towards people.
My overall visit was satisfactory. I didn't wait long for the doctor, and the visit was done in good timing. The doctor was great, but the staff not so much. I will continue to visit LensCrafters, just not this location.
