  • Please be warned if you are looking to refinance. We are out hundreds of dollars because our house didn't appraise for what we thought and so we lose the money we had to pay them upfront. I feel cheated in some way. I realize they had to pay an appraiser and I'm willing to help with that cost. But there should have been a warning that it might not appraise for as much as necessary. Interest rates also went up after supposedly quoted and locked in. Disappointed big time in chase - and this isn't the first time.
