I went to this place once and will never go back. I sat down with a group of about 8 friends expecting a long eve of drinks and conversation. The server brought the pitcher of Long Island iced tea we ordered, which came to about $25. All I hadinmy pocket atthe moment was $26. The server scolded me and said I had to tip at least 10%, and then picked up the pitcher and refused to serve it to us. She literally pick edit up and toolkit away. I tried to speak to a manager but there was none on staff and all I got from the coat check staff and bouncer was apathy.
Ehem servers - tipping is not obligatory and it is never a server's right to demand a tip, especially before providing actual service. We were about to spend the whole night there and I tend to be a generous tipper. This server cheated herself out of a tip at the end of the night. We left and I'll never forget that experience.
