I have wanted to go to the National Atomic Testing Museum for a few years now. My girlfriend got the Groupon for our day date. This is a great museum that shows the history of the atomic age and the testing of nuclear bombs. As you walk thru the self guided tour you pass between displays and movies of what it was like to work at the Nevada Test Site and actual footage of the explosions. My favourite display was the letter from Albert Einstein to FDR warning of the Germans work getting an atomic bomb. It's interesting to see all the work put in to develop a weapon that hopefully will never have to be used again. But knowing we have it just in case is comforting.
