  • I adopted a female Vizsla pup from San Antonio, TX I took her to Surprise Animal Hospital for a check up. When Dr. A Bizzul learned she was from Texas she strongly recommended a FECAL test for the Chagas parasite. Kissing bugs are responsible for spreading the parasites and Texas has plenty on them. She tested negative. NO WONDER!!!!!! The parasite is in the blood and NOT in the digestive system. Furthermore, if found, Chagas is incurable!. I should have done my research before trusting a vet.
