| - Was disappointed with my previous dentist, so gave these guys a shot off of a mailer they had sent out. The staff over the phone when scheduling a new patient appointment was helpful, and I was excited to hear they had their paperwork available online for me to fill out so I didn't have to show up an eon early to fill it all out.
The only thing bad I can say was that the building they're in (shared building with other practices) had a slight "smell of old" odor when first walking in, which always rubs me the wrong way. But I suppose that's not the dentistry's fault. Otherwise... Friendly greeting, comfortable waiting room, and as a new patient I was given a quick tour of the facility and introduced to several of the staff (including Dr. Davis)... This was kind of nice and added a personal touch of service.
I went in for a routine cleaning. After they put me in the chair, they showed me a "comfort menu" of things they offer to make it a pleasant visit (i.e. water, magazine, loaner iPod and headphones, etc: maybe 15-20 items on the "menu"!!) My hygienist was excellent, very thorough, wicked cute, and even customized the level of explanatory detail to my liking by asking if I wanted "a lot of info, a little info, or something in between." When it was time for the doctor to have a look, he took his time and actually got to know me (well, several minutes worth anyways) before we even talked teeth. He definitely showed me that he valued me as a patient, and would spend whatever time it took to make me comfortable and to answer any questions I had. Can't say I'm used to that from any medical professional.
The entire staff was professional and friendly, and made it clear that my comfort was important. I feel that they all did an amazing job, am glad I gave them a shot, and am looking forward to my next appointment.
