  • Update: Optima turned out to be such a disappointment. Following my initial review (5 stars) things went south. The management is extremely difficult to work with and could care less about the residents. We no longer live there. The bad: -Poor management -Lack of follow through and serious negative attitudes -Dryers DO NOT DRY the clothes - We were even willing to buy a new dryer, but the building is designed for "high efficiency" dryers only which don't work. FYI- many people online have complained about these dryers. We had to use a dry cleaner for wash and fold our entire time at Optima -Moving blankets ALWAYS up in the elevators -Parking garage leaks (when it rains) onto cars and leaves residue -Parking garage mirrors are facing the wrong way- It is very dangerous to drive into the garage. We asked several times for them to be adjusted, but never done -Package system is flawed! -Maintenance enters without permission -Consistent issue with the spare bathroom. Smelled like awful sewage for months The good: Heather in the leasing office is fantastic! If she were in charge I believe the experience would have been much better. -Beautiful interior -Beautiful exterior -Awesome neighbors -Great location -Fantastic amenities ---- I absolutely love living here! My experience has been completely positive. I had some reservations about this complex due to some of the negative reviews. But, after two unsuccessful days of looking at homes to buy, we decided to check out Optima before flying back to CA. I'm soooo glad we did. It's an awesome place to call home especially if you are new to the area. The amenities are fantastic, staff has been super friendly & always helpful! I'd encourage everyone to come check it out for yourself. It's worth it!
