Recommended by a local who lives in NoDa (shorthand for North Davidson), someplace cool in Charlotte's mind, but not mine.
At any rate, the Landmark is not in NoDa. It is in this amorphous area of town, but on Central Avenue.
Since they feed you plenty in the South, I wasn't hungry when I went in for dinner. I saw those desserts in the glass case and decided that would suffice. I threw in a cup of coffee. The cheesecake I had was abundant and delicious. The coffee was coffee. It was later in the evening, at around 10 p.m., and it was crowded. I could see and smell entree plates going by, and they had to have been good.
Of 3 days spent in Charlotte in the recent past, this is the place I went to with the most character and the best following.
