| - We came to Sinatra to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. From the very second we walked in the door of Sinatra, we were treated like royalty. The two lovely ladies at the front check in welcomed us warmly and offered to hang my coat. I opted to keep it as I get a little chilly, and it was tailor made for me and I rarely let it out of my sight. We were also welcomed with a card wishing us a happy anniversary. Beautifully handwritten and personalized. I knew right then, this was going to be great.
We visited the bar first, as we were a few minutes early. The bar tender was very busy, yet very nice and the Pinot Gregio was probably the best I've ever tasted. So smooth and just a brilliant wine. Hubby had a Bloody Mary and said it was nice.
When we were seated for dinner, our table had a lovely view of the garden patio and fireplace. Had it been a bit warmer, we may have enjoyed appetizers or dessert out there, but it was in the 40s. The dining room had such a genuinely warm feel, it was almost as if 'Old Blue Eyes' were in the room. I believe he was, at least in spirit.
The service at Sinatra is WORLD CLASS. Actually, I will say it is absolutely the best service we've ever had anywhere, ever. We have been all over the world, dined at Michelin restaurants across the globe. Without question, Sinatra is better than any restaurant we have experienced.
While I cannot remember our server's name, he was impeccable! We never wanted for anything. Our glasses were always filled, and he was so knowledgeable about each dish and was great in giving his ideas on each dish.
We started with a lovely Caesar salad that was just perfect. Not too much, not too little and perfectly plated. To our great surprise, the chef sent out a most delightful butternut squash bisque with his compliments for our anniversary. I LOVE butternut squash. and this bisque was just amazing. Perfection!
Next, our main course arrived. Hubby had 'Filetto' 10 oz beef tenderloin and I had 'Agnolotti' small pasta pockets filled with butternut squash and parmesan. My dish was sheer perfection and brilliantly presented. It was so wonderful and perfectly portioned, cooked to perfection and the taste was too incredible to put into words. Then, there was my hubby's filet. Oh, my! There are truly no words to describe this one either. It was by far, the very best tenderloin either of us have ever tasted! It practically melted in our mouths. SO delicious! There are no words. Cooked to perfection and beautifully plated. Again, just the perfect amount to enjoy. I could not eat all of my dinner, but hubby would have licked the plate clean if we were at home. It was just that awesome. We also shared a side Purea di Patate, mashed potatoes, which were excellent.
We lingered a bit longer enjoying and savoring our memory of an awesome dinner when the staff came and presented us with a personalized dessert for our anniversary! It featured the famous 'Frank's Hat' and a lovely layer chocolate mousse. What can I say? That was exceptional! Tremendously delicious and the perfect ending to a world-class amazing meal.
We waited a while and hoped the check would come, but it never did. Our server asked if we cared for anything more, and hubby asked for our check. He walked away and returned and said that this meal was compliments of our adult children! OMG! I started crying. I could not believe it. The staff knew all along and kept it secret.
It was the meal of a lifetime, one we will always remember.
