| - This is the place you must try whether you are visiting or looking for a staycation. From being brand new to having gorgeous large well decorated rooms to the front desk staff like Shelly and Wyn (both amazing, friendly, helpful, kind, and courteous while always being professional) to not having smoke fill the lobby of their hotel (hotel and casino are in separate buildings)...this IS a hidden gem that won't stay hidden much longer.
From the moment you pull up to the valet (I want to name them all but there are many and each deserves individual credit so I don't want to leave anyone out) you are treated with respect and welcomed to their property and Las Vegas. The hospitality attitude of the valets makes you smile as you head to the reception desk to check in or over to the casino to play.
The hotel/casino is Chinese themed and their decorations in the hotel and casino are stunning. We are not big gamblers but the casino is well lit, the bartenders (Miki and JC) are quick to serve you and do so with a smile, and when we cash out our tickets (we tend to win at their video blackjack machines) the cage workers make you feel welcome and encourage you to enjoy your day and visit them again soon.
The rooms, wow, big and unlike most hotels on the strip...they are brand new. Every room we have stayed in has a huge bathroom, large walk-in shower, and from their suites to their standard room the king sized bed is impeccably made with tons of pillows (my wife loves pillows). The housekeeping staff is kind and courteous as well as quick to bring an extra blanket, towels, or whatever you may need. Don't forget to say hi to Mike at the bar in the hotel, he makes a great double espresso.
Is it kid friendly? Yes. We had our 12 year old and our 14 year old with us for 5 days there recently and they had a blast in the gorgeous pool and ordering their yummy room service.
One more thing, with all of the hotels we have stayed in we have yet to experience a friendlier security staff. James, I believe is the head of security, and all of the others, communicate with the guests making sure they not only know they are safe but that security is also there as a resource if you have a question.
Bottom line, STAY AT THIS PROPERTY. We are so happy with the Lucky Dragon we go back each time we are in Las Vegas (every other week) and no longer stay at the properties we used to; Aria, Delano, MGM, Encore, or Cosmo.
