This was my first event attending as a guest and not working behind the scenes and I remember how magical it all is! Yay kris yay kris yay kris!
AZYUN is a gem, replacing the horrible liberty burger. Ricky knows his craft and clientele and comes up with these dishes that are insanely unique and delicious.
We were so lucky to have each dish paired with a craft beer from muskoka brewery- gotta say the gin and tonic one was 5/5 and I don't even go for G&T ever.
Food wise
Seared tuna on rice toast - 5/5 super good, tuna was high quality on a small block of sticky rice. Unique and tasty.
Prawn toast - 4/5, very cool flavour, filled with the prawn taste. Definitely never tasted something like this before!
Truffle rice - 5/5 GAAAAADDDD DAAAAYUUUUMMM. The truffle was strong with this one. Also cute little quail egg. Overall taste was indescribable.
Fried chicken mantou- 5/5 hands down my fave thing tonight. The chicken was perfect and the kimchi was the perfect spice addition + the softness of the mantou. Damn mama, you got my heart.
Pork skewer- wooooooow, I need someone to love me as tender as this pork was. Soft, marinated to perfection and doesn't even have the weird taste of pork. This is your thing! 5/5

10/10 better than liberty burger. (Gotta reiterate that)
