  • This is the first time I am writing any reviews on social media. The HORRIBLE experience with Parker & Sons & Home Depot was so upsetting that I felt i needed to. They are the plumbing sub contractor for Home Depot for water heaters, so it's shame on them as well. Parker & sons promised to come to my house and quote on a new water heater. They promised they would be able to estimate and then install the same day. That was important to me since I work. Well, they finally showed up and informed me that he would NOT install it that day. Even after I let him know that I was promised this by his office. OK, he then reviewed my broken water heater and wrote up an estimate. The estimate was not itemized but just services and what type of water heater. So get this...a $500.00 water heater was being quoted installed for $1605.00, $1100.00 for installation. Outrageous, I know it should've been around $400-$500 for install & haul-away. I was told take it or leave it...I LEFT IT. I went to Lowe's ordered the same water heater and the total was $905.00 complete with install & haul-away $700.00 cheaper. Terrible, I will never go to Home Depot or use Parker & Sons for anything. Their commercials are misleading and quite frankly inappropriate especially if your a plumber named Melvin. I would've had a better experience with Melvin (their portrayal) than with them. Shame on them!!!!!!
