Hard to imagine it's taken this long for Toronto to get an Aquarium but here it is and it is a good one. You might be wondering "why pay $30 for a glorified screen saver?" Well, it's a verrry good screen saver with all kinds of fish swimming around together. The highlights are certainly the Ray Bay, the Jellyfish Tank and the Shark Lagoon which is a 20 minute moving walkway tunnel which curves around the shark pool. The exhibits are laid out well but there is no quick-escape path if you need to leave early. They strategically situate the caf midway so if you need a break, the food is right there.
They're trying to do a selfie campaign but selfies would be easier if the walkway curved the other way. Nonetheless, make this a stop along your tour of Toronto. It's right next to a lot of other sights downtown so conveniently located for a full day. Budget 2-3 hours for the experience, but you might need an additional hour just to line up and buy tickets!
