Yum yum in my tum tum...that's what I would say if I were five and lacking the expansive vocabulary that I now have as the wise and educated woman I have grown to be. Enough about me; let's get to the good stuff.
Mother Bunch was a pretty awesome find thanks to my bf having functional eyes that can see things along 7th Street on his drive home from work. We were seated immediately by basically the raddest host ever (dude with big curly hair and some pretty groovy moves). Our server was really friendly and took our drink order. BTW if you're looking for a variety of beers, this is your spot. They have a bunch of in-house brewed beers and a variety of brews from local breweries in the Arizona area. I didn't have any but my bf really dug the Lagunitas Fusion 24 (methinks).
I ordered the Western Burger which is topped with bbq, crispy onions, pickled jalapeƱos, cheddar cheese, and, in case that isn't enough beef for you, it also comes with tri-tip on top. It is served with fries and holy crap is it good. I am def a meat lover and it was so good that I was incredibly bummed when I was stuffed after only half the burger. Boo :(. My bf ordered the Mother of All Burgers (no that's really the name). It is essentially your standard burg but topped with pork belly and an optional fried egg. He dug the junk outta dat burger and was done with it before I even finished my half of my own.
Food was out in a snap and service was pretty good. The only part that was a "needs improvement moment" was when we asked our server for the check after we'd been chillin' for a while...and then waited ten minutes before having to ask again bc she either misheard us or forgot. Totally not a reflection on the entire experience but I figured I would mention it.
My favorite part was that the chef came out and checked on every table to see how everyone was doing. I also saw the owners making their way around checking in with tables. Love the vibe and if you dig historic buildings, then this is the place for you. Word to your Mother.
