  • I'm not sure why everyone was loving this airport with their reviews? This place is crazy. I got entirely lost, that's not even the beginning, trying to go from US Airways terminal to the United Terminal, even given wrong directions of where to go, I think. Yes, this place is MASSIVE. not a good thing, for a traveler coming here for the first time. The airport is like a huge jigsaw puzzle you cannot figure out. This place would be fine if you are only going to 1 airline, (and most are, so fine.) but if you are picking someone up after arriving at PHX yourself..no bueno! My situation was a bit different flying different airlines with family arriving. it was not easy finding the shuttles that take you from 1 terminal to the other, I had to ask about 3 people directions. Again, this place is far too massive in size and complicated for a newbie to this airport. Wow. When you do find the shuttles, I found myself on the WRONG shuttle because they do not go to EVERY terminal, like normal airports, only certain ones go to certain terminals, if it sounds crazy and complicated, its because it is. Another woman riding this shuttle with me, ALSO found herself on the wrong shuttle just trying to go to terminal 2. so its not just me who felt like I was lost and never to find where I actually needed to be. Only good thing I can speak of is that all there is only 1 rental car shuttle that takes you to the pickup location that is about 2 miles or so away from PHX. Thankful I don't come thru PHX often if ever.
