  • So disappointed. My husband and I were really looking forward all week to seeing a movie, that we ended up having to walk out of within minutes because of broken speakers in cinema room 3 (that we later found out they were FULLY AWARE OF). When the movie initially started, we thought they had forgotten to switch over from the preview speakers to surround sound, since it was only coming from the front left speaker. You could barely hear any of the characters speaking. I went out to go let them know that the surround sound was not on, and to see if they were aware of this. I was then very bluntly told by the girl working at the front desk that the speakers had been like that for a while. Not fully understanding what she meant by this, I asked "so there is nothing you all can do to fix the sound?". The girl clearly exasperated said, "No, the speakers are broken and they have to get someone in to fix them" and then asked if I wanted a refund. So Regal Cinemas Birkdale is knowingly selling tickets to people, at premium prices, fully aware of their broken speaker issues. For shame.
