Went to Paul Martin's for dinner and drinks with some work colleagues tonight and one of my co-workers asked about possibly ordering off the happy hour menu with our group who was all ordering dinner. Our waitress Amy who extremely accommodating said she would ask her manager for permission. The manager came over and told our group no there is no ordering of happy hour allowed in the dining room and he would not even allow the member of our group to walk to the bar and get a happy hour drink and bring it back to our table where the entire rest of the group was ordering food. I have been in restaurant management for 8 years and know how to handle customers and this situation was handled horribly. I'm from California and have worked in high end restaurants for years. The manager came over and basically whispered so other guests wouldn't hear. The name of the manager at the establishment was Clyde. The only reason I am giving this establishment a 3 star review is our amazing waitress Amy who did an outstanding job of handling the situation and keeping us in the restaurant after the extremely abhorrent handling by the manager.
