  • My derby league can often be found upstairs on Wednesday nights. Come say hi if you're around! I like this place for the conversations and atmosphere, and the service of Bushwhacker, the upstairs bartender. She's no-nonsense with the chefs and has no problem yelling at them when they get an order wrong. Which unfortunately happens often. The food here isn't that great. I've had pretty much all of the vegetarian options and I don't particularly like any of them, so I usually don't eat when I come to Whelans. The drinks are pretty good though! Come for the derby girls. And I guess you might as well stay for the derby girls too.
