| - Eddie's place is a great example of no-frills, good cooking here in Charlotte. On the weekends you can expect a wait, but it moves quickly and you'll be happy you waited.
On this trip, I finally decided to try their she crab soup that everyone raves about. This, for me, was good, but at the same time, with every bite I was fishing out a shell. This isn't my first time with crab, and I know their shells can be difficult to find and peel, but I honestly just wasn't expecting to have to dig out a chunk of shell or two with every bite. As my mother would say, at least you know it's real crab, but at $6 a cup, I wanted to enjoy it rather than work for it.
I also got the Ruben sandwich, which was very tasty. It was traditional Ruben with the fixings, and the balance in each bite was delicious. I went with the veggies as my side, and they were a miss. Way too big of cuts, and had a freezer bag taste to them. My husband always gets their muffelata, and that is a large sandwich (you only need the half) and it's very tasty! Their olive spread they put on their might be the best salty/sour/olive bite you can have.
