Olive and Ivy is clearly the place to be on a Saturday morning if you're a millennial looking to get your brunch on. The building is beautiful inside, offers both quick take out as well as seating if you're looking to linger. Not to be forgotten is the outdoor seating waterside that offers a view of the canal and a gentle breeze on this nice fall day.
We were on vacation, so we started with dessert - a lemon cake that was delicious. They also started us with a plate of focaccia and pesto. The pesto was fragrant and well-seasoned.
I opted for the kale salad with chicken. It was complemented by blue cheese and candied pecans. It is sure to satisfy any kale lover's hankering.
My husband ordered the breakfast burrito which if consumed entirely will require an obligatory 30min to 1 hr prior to activity. It is filling, and has just the right amount of bacon, cheese, and potatoes. The home fries served alongside were crispy on the outside and delicious on the inside.
Service was excellent, and this place is very reasonably priced. Make sure to stop in for brunch soon.
