This place has long been a favorite of mine in town and my last visit on Friday was no exception. I had a seat at the bar after a bit of a wait to find an open spot ( on a Friday night just before the AC/DC concert - so it's to be expected ). Alexis and Larry are both absolute gems - very friendly and welcoming. I started with the Prosciutto appetizer which was very nice and simple - shaved Prosciutto stretched flat on the plate with a few pieces of marinated Figs in the bottom left corner and a house made Grissini laid across the top. Very simple, clean, and flavorful.
For dinner I went with the 18 oz. bone-in Ribeye this time ( I'm usually a Filet guy but I just had one of those a few nights prior so I decided to step a bit outside my box ) and am I ever glad I did. As is all of their steaks, it was cooked just right to a nice medium rare+ and served in an all-clad copper pan with juices and a roasted Shallot. The steak was super flavorful and marbled just right. For sides I had smaller portions each of the Red Pepper Risotto and roasted Carrots - both were outstanding. The Risotto was properly al dente with just the right about of Red Pepper flavor with a few strips of the pepper mixed in and a light dusting of Parmesan over top. The Carrots were beautifully roasted with a dressing of Honey and a hint of Rosemary. Divine.
Alexis made a really nice suggestion for a glass of wine to pair with my steak and after that all was right in the world.
This place NEVER disappoints and I always suggest it when asked where to eat in Las Vegas. Thanks for always being consistent and doing an outstanding job - I can't wait to return!
