| - I actually feel bad writing this review, because the staff did the best they could, but you should be warned. I am sure it's not cheap to run this place but they either need to spend money to clean it up and repair it, or just accept that it's a dump and not pretend otherwise.
Most reviews spell it out for you. We had convention here so I heard all of the horror stories about loud pipes, filthy rooms, broken lamps, gross hot tubs and just total ghetto. I won't say what I found under the bed the first morning, but it was there when we moved in and I actually broke down on the phone to the front desk. Joseph was really kind about it. I put towels down on the bedroom carpet because I was not about to step on it. Plane traffic is very loud and bed springs are shot, but sheets were clean and we were tired enough to sleep quite well. Our friends were not so lucky. The neighborhood is sketchy. One of our friends had the window to his car smashed.
If you must stay, ask to see a few rooms until you are happy. The Frank Sinatra suite was pretty nice. I walked across the street to Culinary Dropout in the Hard Rock every day for happy hour.
Park under a light close to your room.
The extra star is for the good service, and the lobby, bar and conference rooms. Actually quite nice. That really deserves 4 stars, but this review is mainly for the rooms.
