  • DO NOT COME TO THIS GYM. Integrity issues at this gym. I am a Goodlife member who frequents this location. The staff is generally very friendly and they always greet you when you enter and exit the gym. However, the recent incident really turned my overall impression of this branch sour. I left my nice winter boots at the gym one evening and called the front desk immediately after realizing that I had left in the women's change room (1 hour since I left the gym). The front desk person said my boots were still there and would keep it for me till I get back next day. I told him that I couldn't come back immediately because I live an hour away (my workplace is near the gym), but for some reason, the person said that he couldn't hold it in the front but instead, he would put it at the back at the LOST and FOUND where it is ONLY ACCESSIBLE to STAFF. I thought it would be safe since it wasn't accessible to the public. I am a long time member with Goodlife and I never had any issues with the staff there. Long and behold, when I went there early morning at 8am to retrieve it, the staff said my boots weren't there. We had checked everywhere and someone had taken it. A staff said that maybe the cleaners or some charity person had taken it overnight to give to the poor. I think NOT, because there were still a whole box full of dirty running shoes there. I wanted to get the numbers of the cleaners, that particular lady staff said I could only talk to Goodlife and not the cleaners. I called the manager afterwards (as he wasn't present there) and made a complaint about the INTEGRITY of the staff. The manager was really nice and said he would investigate. About 2 hours later, he called back and we chatted. He told me that he had watched the security camera and had asked his staff, but there was no trace of anyone taking the boots. He even talked to the guy who took my call the night before. I was immediately furious because his reasoning was RIDICULOUS. Who would ANYONE wear my boots outside. If people really wanted to steal my boots, they would probably hide it in their big gym bag. How ridiculous for people to not take the blame. It is VERY obvious that their staff had taken my boots and I am really NOT happy about this. I had CALLED in to ask for them to hold it for me, but the man who took the call CLEARLY didn't want to be responsible and decided to put it at the back. If I had known that it was a laundry room where there were staff coming in and out he should have put it in the front with a label saying that it would be pick up. DO NOT TRUST the staff at this gym. Everyone blames others. There is definitely INTEGRITY issues here. I won't be coming back unless I get those boots back.
