They get my vote! We had the arancini, a cheese plate, duo of wild boar, lamb chops and blood orange sorbet.
The arancini was delicious and not overly cheesy. The red sauce with it was very good. It had a little bit of spiciness to it which paired well with the subtle sweetness of the arancini.
The cheeses we chose were a triple cream cow and a goat cheese. It comes with bread and quince and for $1.50 you can add honeycomb. I highly suggest adding the honeycomb. It just takes the cheese to another level.
I had the lamb. I love lamb. I didn't even order a side to go with it. I had a hard time deciding between medium and medium rare. I like my steak medium rare. I discussed with the waiter and he said to order it medium because they tend to cook it on the rare side of medium. I am so glad I did. It was perfectly charred and crispy on the outside and tender and pink (or red) on the inside. I think had it been any rarer it would have been too much for me.
My boyfriend got the duo of wild boar. It was pork medallions and also a shredded shoulder which is a lot like a pulled pork but just leveled up on the favor and texture. We had read that boar can be tough and neither were at all. My lamb was great. The boar was better.
For dessert we were pretty full so we got a blood orange sorbet. We didn't like it because it was really strong tasting. The cookie garnish it came with was pretty good.
Overall, I would go back but I would skip the cheese and dessert. Maybe even nix the drinks. The cheese was very good but we're just to po to be spending upwards of $100 for dinner for 2 more than very occasionally. It was fun and worth going all out with it once though.
