I was excited to try some soul food hoping it was as good as Roscoe's. Sad to say -not even close. The chicken n waffles, fried fish, mac n cheese, rice n gravy, fried okra and hush puppies were all pretty decent -nothing to go crazy over. The candied yams were extremely sweet, green beans tasted/looked like they came out of a can but the worst was the meatloaf. It was over seasoned with pepper and the texture was so dense, it didn't even taste like meat!!
The wait staff were friendly and polite and hopefully the dishes improve. I'd like to give it a try again and hope that things improve when and if I go back.
