My husband and I were patients with Dr. Tara Ransdell for a couple of years and although we felt the staff was cold and disconnected in their interactions with us, we really felt Tara was excellent at what she did and an overall easy health care practitioner to ask questions too. So we continued with our annual visits with Tara until the end of 2014. Unfortunately, at our last visit we didn't see Tara, BUT SURPRISE, we saw a new doctor that she had added to her once solo practice. We were repeatedly contacted by staff via text and email to confirm my husband's and I back to back appts., but never asked if it was OK to see a new O.D. Now up until I walked into the room I was never told I would not be seeing Tara. In fact, Tara was there that day, she had just chosen to shuffle us both to her new O.D. The new O.D. was apologetic but I walked out, frustrated by the lack of respect and value of me as a patient at their practice. You come to someone your trust annually and you expect to see them and review your health. Healthcare is so much more than a service, its an important relationship you build. I had hopes that Tara would take a minute to call and explain or apologize, but I never got that call. Of course my husband and I are moving on...and I would recommend North Valley Eye Care.
