  • I regret not going to Dream Nails in Greentree in the interest of saving time. I could have done a better job myself, and wouldn't have gotten berated for supposedly telling the tech the wrong color. I thought the gel shade looked different as she was in the process of my manicure, however, I had specified a chrome shade that would require a top coat, so I gave her the benefit of the doubt and did not say anything until I noticed she was applying a clear top coat. According to her it was my fault because when she said "OPI 1" I didn't correct her. I literally pointed at the exact shade, which was also #1, but on a different swatch (but on the SAME ring set). Given that I pointed at the shade I wanted and she acknowledged, I thought she understood. I was wrong. I had to argue with her so that I wouldn't get charged double, and then she angrily muttered to her coworkers in her native language. My formerly healthy natural nails are now damaged because she had to take off the incorrect color, which she proceeded to do with the sanding tool. She was so rough that my cuticle started bleeding. The icing on the cake--after all that I couldn't even get the color I wanted; after a confusing, nonsense explanation about the chrome colors, she tells me they aren't even available anymore. Then why advertise them!? And why did another nail tech tell me that they were gel (I had asked this specifically because I didn't want acrylic) and were in fact available!? Finally, the "almond" shape looks like it was filed by a 5 year old. I have had to shape them myself at home, but I have left one hand alone so that I can post an example picture momentarily. Terrible experience, do not go here!! I have been to countless nail salons in over a dozen cities over the years and I had never previously had a difficult time communicating what I wanted. This tech was lazy and uninterested in her work. I had gone here one other time and suspected that I was overcharged--said I would never go back then. I should have stood by that!
