  • Yesterday was my last of 4 classes, I'm still amazed and in disbelief that in 4 short lessons (yes you and your dog need to practice during the non lesson times) Calvin is a totally different dog on leash. Just today we took him out for his walk on the canal, not a single bird, duck, fish, bike, human or other barking dog distracted Calvin. He stayed by side, sat, stayed and was obedient every step of the way. Another dog owner literally said to his crazy barking dog as we walked by, "see how well behaved that dog is, no barking just a good dog." LOL. 4 Weeks ago Calvin would have been the crazy barking dog. Since we started our lessons, Calvin has gone to several restaurants with us, Flagstaff, busy canal walks, parks, and long hikes, in each scenario his once erratic, aggressive, unpredictable behavior was a thing of the past. I reached out to Bob originally because I found myself becoming more and more hesitant and resistant to taking Calvin out and even walking him. The entire point of my family having a dog was to be active with him, love him, take him everywhere and ensure he was treated like part of the family, so when I stopped wanting to do these things, I knew we needed help. Every review I read was positive. The more I read, the more I related to what was being written and I knew we needed to call Bob. I reached out and heard back from him very quickly. We had to wait 4 weeks to start our lessons, this felt like torture but it was so worth the wait. Bob did not disappoint, his lessons were productive and taught us so much about why our past attempts to alter Calvin's behavior had failed. He made amazing analogies that got me to truly understand as a dog owner it's my role to have a well behaved and trained dog. Not only is it the responsible thing, but your dog actually thrives when he/she knows you're in charge and how to behave. What I found truly remarkable is that during the lessons, you focus on fundamentals. How can you expect your dog to not go after a running rabbit if he won't even walk by your side, sit or stay? Calvin "got it" quickly and continued to do better and better each day. I did see a HUGE improvement even after the first lesson, and it just got better and better. Turns out once Calvin had these fundamentals, the other behaviors that I wanted corrected were as I was the authority and he listens to me. Without a doubt the best part is Calvin and I have a better relationship, I'm not screaming at him, making excuses for him, avoiding taking him to places, he respects me, understands boundaries and continues to be a happy, playful, and loving dog. I can't thank Bob enough. I will continue to suggest, like I have to dozens who comment on how well behaved Calvin is, Bob to anyone and everyone who is looking to improve their relationship with and behaviors of their dog. He has found his gift and I'm so glad he pursued this career and we found him. I can honestly say this is the BEST money I've ever spent and would do it a million times over. If you want your dog to change for the better, call Bob you won't regret it.
