| - Following our meal at My Big Fat Greek Gyro last week, we came Yogli Mogli for our post-dinner reward. Upon talking with an employee, I found out that YM is actually a chain with a lone location in Pittsburgh (the bulk of them are in Georgia, but there are some in Illinois and Tennessee). Fundamentally identical to Shadyside's Happy Berry, Yogli Mogli (a Simpson's reference?) offers a broad selection of fro-yo flavors and DYI service. Fill up your cup, load on your toppings, weigh in, pay up, and indulge. I mixed about 6 different varieties of the tangy soft-serve ice cream (what else is it, really?) and went somewhat overboard in terms of dairy and fixings (my cup cost $11!), but the usual things one finds in a place such as this are there in abundance. There's the cheesecake fro-yo, the cookie dough fro-yo, the cake batter fro-yo, the raspberries, Oreo refuse, the caramel, the hot fudge and etcetera, sweet, etcetera. It's nothing mind-shattering or expectation-expanding, but if affordable, healthful (?) dessert is what you crave in this wealthy side of town, Yogli Mogli might be worth a visit.
P.S. YM has a spacious meeting room in the back. What a fun, different gathering spot for a book club this could be! A group of women was using the space for something when we ate here.
