The first time I made the trip out here I was pretty excited to have a market at all. Previous to living in Las Vegas I lived in the Seattle area and Austin. Those areas have amazing markets so I knew I would need to temper my expectations since Vegas would never be at that level.
This isn't really a farmers market where you visit primarily for fresh produce. There is only one spot with fresh produce and the selection isn't that great. Vegas isn't exactly prime for growing produce so this didn't shock me.
The main attraction here is all of the stands with local goods and foods. There are a couple of spots to grab food or lemonade to snack on while you shop. One of the best stands here is the local honey because it is uber local, something I can't even get at Whole Foods. I mainly come to the market for the honey because it really helps with my allergies. I also enjoyed the stand with sports' posters made of retro team symbols. This took care of gifts for my dad and father-in-law. I love stumbling upon great gifts.
The location of the market is very convenient. They take over a large open area of the shopping center which makes it easy to move around. Parking is plentiful near the lot next to Lazy Dog and Andiron.
Overall, I wouldn't repeatedly make special trips out to Summerlin just for this market. When I'm in the area I do like to stop in and grab a few things.
