  • This is NOT the kind of place to take a group of 6 people. I would stick to couples or 3/4 friends maximum. Came here on a weekday with my boyfriend who heard about it from a bartender friend of his. Would have walked right past it if we didn't know what to look for (bouncer, graffitied door in an alleyway). You walk in and take your coat off by the fireplace and are led through velvet curtains to the bar area. Dark and retro, the place is handsomely decorated and inviting. We took a seat at the bar and I ordered the Bee something, I think. It was fantastic! My boyfriend didn't know what he wanted and was in the mood to try something out of the ordinary so the bartender (a young blond guy) made him a custom milkshake with basil. It was phenomenal. The prices were VERY reasonable and we were super pleased with our cocktails. For me, a place like this is about the drinks, but it's also about the service and the people behind the bar. The bartender was so kind and truly cared about what he was doing and the service he provided us. I really appreciated my experience here.
